🤖💡 Cool AI Stuff I learned about last week 🧠🚀🌆

Wanna read a - loong - insight into the future of AI? Check out a paper called “Situational Awareness” by Leopold Aschenbrenner, a previous member of the Superalignment team at OpenAI.

Here are 3 sriking points from the essay.

• “It’s strinkingly plausible that by 2027, AI models will be able to do the work of an AI researcher/engineer”

• “By 2027, rather than a chatbot, you’re going to have something that looks more like an agent, like a coworker”

• "Over and over again, year after year, skeptics have claimed ‘deep learning won’t be able to do X’ and have been quickly proven wrong.”

The author talked about his paper in a video interview, if you prefer to watch a video - but be aware, that is also 4.5 hours long 😉

We are hosting our first event! Helping you to find great AI events in town is great, but isn’t it even more exciting to get together, mix and mingle and exchange best practices?

Our first event is a general mixer called AI+Beginnings on the 15th of August, but once we know what you like the most (AI+Women, Ai+Data, Ai+Dating ;)), we will specify them more! Come join in, meet us and have some fun! 🤩
